First charity dinner raises over $20,000

Hoedown Line Dancing

Raise your cowboy hats high, because our Western Hoedown Charity Fundraiser was a huge success!  On February 25, 2017, roughly 160 La Palma community members came out to the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel to eat, line dance and raise money for the La Palma Community Foundation.

Over 40 silent auction baskets filled with donated items from local individuals and businesses were contentiously bid on throughout the evening.  Combined with same-day donations, a 50/50 raffle, ticket proceeds and sponsorships at the Platinum level (EDCO Waste DIsposal and La Palma Intercommunity Hospital) and Silver level (Mark 1 Real Estate and The Bead Factory), the Foundation raised over $20,000.

All proceeds from the Western Hoedown will be used to fund La Palma Community Foundation programs for the city's youth and residents.  All donations are tax-deductible.  If you would like to contribute, please visit our Anedot donation page.
